For Outrageously Professional Events Add An Operator
Inject professionalism into your conference with an operator. Operators are there for several practical purposes.
They can, for example, gather your callers' information or dial out to participants and join them to the conference.
They provide certain intangible benefits too: they give you peace of mind, assure that the call will run smoothly, and project an air of formality.
Operator Assisted – The operator will call out to everyone participating in the conference, formally greet them, and join them to the conference room. Operator out-dial calls can be used to initiate conferences or to join people to the discussion once it is underway.
When is it useful?
- International Callers – Sometimes callers located abroad may wish to avoid dialing into a US line. An operator can call international participants no matter where they are located on the globe.
- Formality – Often having an operator call and greet someone feels more formal than having that person call into a conference line and enter a code. This is especially useful for judges, congress members, CEOs, members of the clergy, and others held in high esteem.
Operator Attended – The operator will accompany you on the line before and throughout the call. He or she will provide support whenever needed and can be summoned simply by asking over the line.
When is it useful?
- Question & Answer Sessions – Operators can facilitate smooth-running question and answer sessions. They will ensure that all participants are unmuted to ask questions in the order in which the callers indicated, allowing moderators to focus on what's being discussed in the conference.
- If you feel a bit uneasy – Operators are professionals who do this on a daily basis. Having them on the line to answer your questions and act swiftly in case something goes awry will give your confidence a boost—thereby giving your conference a boost too.
- Large Calls – If you have a particularly large call, an operator on the line will make sure that each person in the group has a clear, informative conference. For example, sometimes a person may have a phone that transmits static across the line; conference operators will locate that line and mute it.
Operator Answered – Direct your callers through AccuConference where operators will field the calls, take down your participants' information, and connect them to the conference room.
When is it useful?
- Gathering Participant Information – Directing your callers through the call center permits operators to gather information such as name, company, affiliation and the like. You can view participating callers by name on the live screen and/or download a spreadsheet of the information collected.
- Keeping Calls Exclusive – If you would like callers to register for a call before participating, you can request for them to do so. Operators will then act as bouncers fielding all the incoming calls and allowing only those on the list to enter.
