What is a toll-free conference call?

A conference call is when three or more people talk on the phone at the same time from different locations using a toll-free number. Conference calls allow everyone to be in the same meeting regardless of location.

How long does it take to set up an account?

You can set up your account online. As soon as we approve your account (usually within minutes), you will receive an email with instructions on how to start using AccuConference by Arkadin for your conference calls.

How do I make a conference call?

  1. Notify your participants of the day / time of your conference call.
  2. Send your participants the toll-free access number and participant code.
  3. Instruct your participants to dial the access number at the time you specified.
  4. Five minutes before your conference, dial your access number and enter your moderator code.
  5. Your conference call will begin immediately.

How do I schedule a one-time use conference with unique codes?

  1. Log into your account dashboard.
  2. Click on create and select Create Passcode Conference.
  3. Enter in the information for your one-time use conference and click on Submit
  4. You will get an email with your invitations. This conference will only be used on the date and time you selected, and cannot be reactivated.

When should I schedule a one-time use conference?

You should only schedule a one-time use conference when you wish for the conference to expire for security reasons. Once the date and time for the conference passes, you will not be able to reactivate that conference line.

Do you require a service contract or have minimum use requirements?

No, we will bill you per minute per person for the usage that you have on your conference calls. For 24/7 Anytime conferences, you are under no obligation to use a specific number of minutes.

What if I need help during the conference?

There are a number of ways to get assistance while on a conference call.

  • Press *0 on your touchtone phone to reach an operator.
  • Contact us through our customer service number at 1.800.989.9239.
  • Chat with a live operator by clicking "Chat With Us" at the top of our homepage.

How many people can I have on a conference call?

We can accommodate any kind of conference that you need with any sort of available lines. For your Anytime conferences, you can have up to 150 people on a conference before we need prior notification. Please give us a call if you will have more than 150 people so that we can set up the correct event.

What if someone calls from a payphone?

If you access our system using a payphone within North America, a 79 cent payphone surcharge is applicable.

Can participants use their cell phones to join a conference?

You can use your cell phone to dial the 800 number and join the conference. Your cell phone provider may charge you airtime or other charges for these connections.

What if someone calls from Alaska or Canada?

Callers from Canada will be able to connect to the conference at no additional charge. Due to carrier increases, all traffic from Alaska will be subject to an additional three cent per minute increase.

How do I record a conference call?

Press *2 when you are ready to begin recording your call.

Recording is charged at .25 cents per minute. You will be able to download the recording file at no additional cost for 30 days after your conference.

Is there a cancellation fee?

There is no fee to cancel your Anytime conference service.

How do international callers get connected?

Your audience invitation will have a link for the available international toll free numbers. Additional charges per minute apply when international numbers are used. Please contact us for international outdial or toll numbers.

How many conference calls can I make in a month?

There is no limit to the number of conferences you can make in a month. You can also set up multiple meeting rooms to have conferences that occur at the same time.

Does each caller need a conference code or just the moderator?

When you receive your confirmation from AccuConference, you will receive your own permanent Dial-in Number and two conference codes - a moderator code and a participant code. Provide the participant code to each of your conference participants along with the access phone number. You will join with the moderator code.

Web conferences add a visual element to the garden variety toll-free conference call. With Anywhere you can share PowerPoint presentations, documents, desktops, and collaborate with white boards.

What do I need to run a web conference?

With Arkadin Anywhere, you only need a web browser like Firefox, Chrome, or Internet Explorer to moderate or attend the conference call.

What can affect the performance?

Some of the main a factors that can affect your web conference are:

  1. The speed of your computers connection to the internet.
  2. Your internet service provider.
  3. Overall internet traffic in your area.
