May 4, 2006 -- AccuConference has just unveiled a new feature, accounting code validation. This feature is available through the Conference Manager, a desktop control system that allows the call host to manage all aspects of a conference call.
A call facilitator inputs an accounting code to ensure that the call is traceable to a department, branch, cost center or other accounting entity. Now, users can pre-load their proprietary chart of accounts to the system. The code entered by a call facilitator can be validated against this master list, ensuring that only valid codes are entered. A valid code must be entered for the call to proceed. The resulting benefit is that all call activity will be traceable to authorized accounting entities for more effective and efficient management of company costs.
